Loving Memories...

Although I was sick on Sunday, I had planned on stopping in at the cemetery since it's been awhile. So, I made a short detour and pulled into the Louisville Cemetery! As I got out, there was such a calm silence that surrounded me, one of peace and serenity! I stopped at my cousins stone, "Ricky" Straight who died in 1989 when I was only seven years old! Then I went to my grandparents stone and oh, the precious memories that came flooding back!! It was almost as if I could hear them speaking...I could see Grandpa working in "Pilgrim's Press" and Grandma working in her usual place, the kitchen!! Although many years have passed, they are both still missed greatly!! My 'Gramp' died just six days before my thirteenth birthday on July 17, 1995. Then my 'Gram' died on December 19, 1998...six days before Christmas!! They were two of the greatest people you could have ever met!! I'd give anything to wrap my arms around Gram again or get one of "Grandpa's Patented Goodnight Kisses!!" I hold my memories so dear to my heart and look forward to seeing them again some day!! I love you, 'Gram & Gramp'!!

I think I remember your Grandparents. I didn't realize they were yours. They were great people..

Again, Tiff, you tug at my heart with your nice comments. I stop at the cemetery in Louisville on occasion, too, and it does bring precious memories! and sometimes tears. Nice pictures! Love you lots...

Hey Tiff - a very nice little tribute to Gram and Gramp - they WERE the BEST!!! That's for sure. I had to leave a comment because Aunt Mern was wondering why I haven't lately!!!

Nice pictures, Tiff. Uncle Jeff and I go out to the cemetery occasionally -- not as often as we should. I remember for a while after they died, whenever we were going away, I always felt like I had to go there to tell them good-bye. I miss them bunches!!
Love you
