Before you read anymore, I want you to make sure you have a cold drink in your hand, your feet are propped up, and you are ready for an amazing story........Okay, you may now continue...
After the annoying "Ding, ding, ding" of my car warning me, I pulled into a gas station, where might I add...I had to use both arms and one leg to pay for the gas. $3.09...it's insanity. Okay, back to the story. With a full tank of gas (and an empty wallet...grrr) I hopped back into my car. Moments later as I was buzzing through the streets of Lebanon city, I realized my "TRUNK OPEN" light was lit. There really isn't a SAFE place to pull over in the city on a Friday night in the dark on top of the fact that I am just plain chicken when it comes to the city. So I watched in my mirror as I went over a small bump. "FLOP"...sure enough, it was open. Knowing I still had a good ten minutes to get through the city to the store I was going to, I started thinking. "Hmmm...I went over a small bump and it flopped open a little so in reality..." I paused my thoughts and glanced in the back mirror. Phew it was still down. "If I could hit the decent size dip in the road just ahead...it should pop it up enough to slam it shut..." I shrugged and pushed the gas a bit. I knew I had to be going just the right speed so that it would be enough force to shut it...without losing the whole bottom of my car. I drove towards "the dip" with determination. Seconds later, my car went into the dip..."SLAM"!! And that my friends...is how it's done!! It takes skill...careful planning...and loads of determination.
The moral of the story is, "A Dip in the Road...
keeps my trunk closed!"

GREAT story, Tiff! Maybe you could teach that in a driving class or something. And...oh, by the way, don't expect me to feel sorry for you about the price of gas there, because up here in northern NY it is $3.27 for Self Serve and $3.29 if you want them to pump it!!! Yup, you gotta love it!
Love you & miss you!
Well, now, Tiff - that's a pretty unique solution! Good thinking
:-). I don't blame you for not wanting to stop in the city, even if traffic had allowed it!! Love you lots....
